Movies and me with the marketing twist (Prof Dr. Rajesh Deshpande Style a leading professor of marketing strategyt in our college)
The number of movies that I would watch in a season can be defined as a function of the following factors , the amount of time pass required ( that is not a word in the Official English dictionary , but I believe it is time that it is included ), number of girlfriends ( now we have product substitutes to associate with this variable in the form of Coffee shops ) , the cost of the ticket and finally the quality of movies on show .
The equation would look somewhat like this

Examining each variable in detail we can derive the following relationships
The amount of time that I have is inversely proportional to the Academic Rigor at NMIMS, to my Motivation levels and also to the number of girl friends. (ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE COMFORTABLE WITH STATISTICS …Most importantly this variable shares a multi-co-linear relationship with one of the independent variables i.e. G, which stands for the number of girlfriends that I have which has to be tested for significance).
The cost of the ticket would affect me the following ways , assuming that the cost of the ticket is reasonably high the number of movies that I watch would follow a Fourier Transformation Pattern ( Sinusoidal with a decreasing amplitude ) , where the number of movies that I watch would be high in the beginning of the month and reduce as the month goes by , the peaks in the sinusoidal wave represent important events like weekends , dates , excess time at hand , and to and extent important movie releases .
The Variables which have a high loading in the factor Quality of movies ( this paragraph can be ingnored by people who are just looking for some funs )in the order of weighs can be specified as Star power: Measured by the box office drawing power in the first week of the movie release (used a term for user experience as the consumer tends to rely heavily on past experience), Movie Banner : Measured as an average of the past movie releases by the banner ( this variable is difficult to measure as the movie industry in India is still unstructured with a lot of shell companies and multiple holdings ) , Music,
The highly unreliable Critic rating and finally the most important the approval of my girl friend.

And finally the number of girlfriends , there is again a interesting phenomenon which has been noted , the number of movies that I watch, again, follows a Fourier Pattern ( Explained earlier ) ,and moreover I would go to more movies at the initial Forming Stage ( Team Building Funda), go to coffee shops in the Storming Stage , hang around in quiet little corners like beaches etc in the Norming stage and then finally seek Privacy in the Performing Stage.
